PROsport Racing with victorious 24h preparation

At the ADAC 24h Qualifiers, PROsport Racing prepared for the 24h race at the Nürburgring and clinched a victory in the GT4 class.

At the ADAC 24h Qualifiers at the Nürburgring, PROsport Racing began the hot preparation for the 24h race at the Nürburgring. The event’s two four-hour races counted towards the championship of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series for the first time. On Saturday the race continued until darkness, allowing the teams and drivers to gain important experience.

In the GT4 class, the Swiss Jasmin Preisig and veteran Jörg Viebahn achieved the team’s first win of the season on the Nordschleife on Sunday. With an Aston Martin Vantage GT4, the duo dominated the race in the class. Preisig started with Reinhold Renger on Saturday and finished the race in fourth position.

In the GT3 class, the pro trio Marek Böckmann, Nico Bastian and Yelmer Buurman competed for PROsport Racing. In the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, however, the focus was on gaining experience and kilometers. Top results were not the focus of the team from Wiesemscheid. In addition, a technical problem with the emergency vehicle led to an early exit on Sunday.

In addition, permit drivers Harry Rice (Great Britain) and Ye Pengcheng (China) were able to collect many kilometers on the Nordschleife in a GT4 Aston Martin.

“Our focus over the weekend was on collecting as much data and kilometers as possible, so it’s a bit annoying that we had to retire early with the GT3 on Sunday, especially since Yelmer still has to gain experience in the Aston Martin,” said team boss Chris Esser. “However, I am very happy about the class victory in the GT4 class! With Jasmin we seem to have the next fast and talented woman in our team – I’m very excited to see what we can achieve together!”

The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring takes place from May 30th to June 2nd. The exact PROsport Racing line-up will be presented at a later date.
