PROsport Racing with large contingent in Nürburgring endurance series

PROsport Racing will start the 2024 season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series with a truly large line-up. In addition to the proven Aston Martin line-up, the racing team will be fielding a new BMW M4 GT4 for the first time.

For many years, the Nürburgring Endurance Series has been one of the main programs in PROsport Racing’s racing year. This will also be the case this year, as the racing team from Wiesemscheid will field a truly large contingent of vehicles in the traditional Nordschleife racing series.

Chris Esser’s racing team will enter two Aston Martin Vantage GT3s in the races leading up to the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. One car will start in the SP9 Pro class, while the sister car will compete in the SP9 Pro-Am class. Until the 24-hour race, the cars will be driven by different drivers in order to find the optimum driver pairing for the car that will contest the endurance marathon at the season highlight in early summer.

PROsport Racing will also enter several Aston Martin Vantage cars in the GT4 class, the SP10 category. As with the GT3 car, the focus here will initially be on preparing for the 24-hour race. Therefore, there will also be a change of drivers at the wheel of the GT4 cars. Some newcomers, such as the fast Swiss Jasmin Preisig, will also take the wheel of the Aston Martin. The racing team will enter three Vantage GT4s in the 24-hour race, with one car going for class victory and ambitious gentleman drivers in the sister cars.

PROsport Racing also welcomes another newcomer to the GT4 class: the racing team from Wiesemscheid will be fielding a new BMW M4 GT4 for the first time! “The use of the BMW is practically a pilot project for us. We want to stay up to date in the GT4 sector and keep our options open for the future and are excited to see how the car differs from our usual Aston Martin,” explains team boss Chris Esser. This vehicle will also be used in the Nürburgring Endurance Series.

“We are proud of our extensive program in the Nürburgring Endurance Series up to the 24-hour race. We will have up to six cars on the grid, which is the maximum for us, especially with the overlap with the GT4 European Series,” says Chris Esser. “But we are also planning exciting projects on the Nordschleife for the races after the 24-hour race. But there will be news on this at a later date!”
