Verdonck/PROsport leaders after victory in Sicily

The long journey to the Coppa Florio in Sicily was worth it for PROsport Racing. Nico Verdonck and his Belgian compatriots Rodrigue Gillion and Tom Heeren celebrated a dominant victory in the GT4 class in the two-part 12-hour race. At the first international race at the Autodromo di Pergusa since 2012, the orange Aston Martin Vantage GT4 ran like clockwork once more.

With 68 points now, PROsport Racing is in first place overall in the 24h Series Europe, ahead of Speed Lover (56) and Herberth Motorsport (54). In addition, Nico Verdonck is the front runner in the overall driver standings with 68 points. As Rodrigue Gillion and Tom Heeren missed out on the season opener in Portimao due to insufficient driving time, the two are in third place in the GT4 table with 40 points.

PROsport now has the chance to win at the final on 13/14 November, which was moved from Zandvoort (NLD) to Mugello (ITA) to win the 24h Series Europe for the second time after 2018.

Team Principal Christoph Esser
“We’re looking forward to Mugello, a wonderful race track in the middle of Tuscany. And it would be awesome if we won the Creventic 24h Series Europe for the second time after 2018. The chance is there, but we also need the necessary ounce of luck. “
