Marek Böckmann and Roman Fellner-Feldegg narrowly miss out on victory in the Mercedes-AMG GT4 and fight their way from the back of the field to fifth place on Sunday with a damaged car.
PROsport Racing secured its first podium of the 2026 season at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. During the third race weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany, Marek Böckmann and Roman Fellner-Feldegg drove their Mercedes-AMG GT4 to second place on Saturday. On Sunday, following damage sustained during qualifying, they staged a recovery drive to finish fifth.
Böckmann qualified the Mercedes-AMG GT4 in fourth place. A strategy involving a late pit stop propelled the duo up to second place. After his pit stop, Fellner-Feldegg was trailing the leading Aston Martin by a significant margin, but his pace was strong. He closed the gap lap by lap, put the leader under immense pressure during the final three laps, and was poised to make a move on the penultimate lap. The resulting battle was hard-fought yet fair. Second place was the reward, and the team was overjoyed.
It marked the team’s first podium finish with the Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the ADAC GT4 Germany. The Motorsport Arena holds special significance for Fellner-Feldegg, as he had already stood on the podium there the previous year. This time, his father, brother, and girlfriend were on site to support him throughout the weekend and celebrate the season’s first podium together with the team.
“The plan from the start was to pit late because we knew we were faster than the Toyota that was holding us up in the first half of the race. After it pitted, I had a clear track and could go flat-out for four laps, which allowed us to get past. Roman then delivered a mega stint. Our first podium with the Mercedes-AMG in the ADAC GT4 Germany—that’s something special for the team,” said Marek Böckmann.
On Sunday, misfortune struck Fellner-Feldegg as early as qualifying; a collision caused severe damage to the Mercedes-AMG GT4. The mechanics managed to get the car race-ready in time for the start; Fellner-Feldegg began the race from the back of the grid and gained several positions on the opening lap alone. As rain began to fall, he was caught up in another collision through no fault of his own but was able to continue. In the closing stages, Böckmann drove the damaged car up to fifth place.
“I am very satisfied with the weekend. Roman’s second stint on Saturday was fantastic; you could really see his full potential there. We narrowly missed out on the win, but we secured our first podium with the Mercedes-AMG in the ADAC GT4 Germany. On Sunday, our mechanics made it possible for us to start at all following the qualifying collision—a huge thank you to the team for that. Marek staged a strong recovery drive in the second half of the race with the damaged car, and fifth place was the well-deserved reward,” says Marc Hennerici, Managing Director of PROsport Racing.
At the halfway point of the season, Böckmann and Fellner-Feldegg sit sixth in the championship standings. The duo has finished all six races of the season in the top ten, placing as the highest-ranked Mercedes-AMG team in the field on every occasion. The season continues at the Nürburgring from August 14 to 16—a home race for the team, which is based in nearby Wiesemscheid.
