PROsport Racing starts the second half of the Nürburgring Endurance Series season with Aston Martin quartet

PROsport Racing is contesting the 69th ADAC Westfalenfahrt with four Aston Martin cars.

Three weeks after an unsatisfactory 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, PROsport Racing is back on the Nordschleife. The racing team from Wiesemscheid will contest the 69th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, with which the Nürburgring endurance series starts the second half of the season, with four Aston Martin cars.

As usual, Chris Esser’s team will field an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in the SP9 class. The car will be driven by fast Nordschleife ace Marek Böckmann. The two experienced Belgians Maxime Dumarey and Simon Balcaen complete the driver quartet. “After hopefully having the worst luck of the entire season in the 24-hour race, we are aiming for another top result with our GT3 car on Saturday. I think that with a bit of luck we can have a say in the top results,” says Esser.

The team will field an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the SP8T class. The car will be driven by Nordschleife veteran Jörg Viebahn and fast Chilean GT ace Benjamin Hites, who has already claimed victories in both the GT World Challenge Europe and the ADAC GT Masters and also impressed with fast lap times in the 24-hour race.

The team’s line-up is completed by two Vantage GT4s in the SP10 class. The two Belgians Guido Dumarey and Alexander Hommerson will share a car with the young Briton Harry Rice. PROsport Racing will also field a permit car for Canadian Damon Surzyshyn, who raced with the Wiesemscheidt-based team in the ADAC GT4 Germany last year, and Marnix Hommerson.

The 69th ADAC Westfalenfahrt will start next Saturday at 12:00 noon. Before that, a 90-minute qualifying session will take place on the Nordschleife from 8:30 am. Fans can follow the entire race day of the popular racing series in the official livestream via YouTube.
