PROsport Racing ready for Nürburgring Endurance Series season opener

PROsport Racing will start with four cars in the 67th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, the season opener of the Nürburgring Endurance Series.

135 cars will start the 2022 season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series at the 67th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, four of which will come from Wiesemscheidt from PROsport Racing. Two Aston Martin and two Porsche Cayman will be entered by the team in the four-hour race.

The team’s Aston Martin Vantage GT3 already thrilled spectators around the Nordschleife during the test and set-up runs. At the 67th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, the British coupé will be used for the first time in PROsport Racing’s race campaign on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, after the team and drivers have been able to gain experience with the vehicle on the track. The two Belgians Maxime Dumarey and Jean Glorieux will take turns at the wheel of the Aston Martin, which will compete in the SP9 Pro-Am class.

In the SP10 class, which is for homologated GT4 cars, team boss Chris Esser’s team will field an Aston Martin Vantage GT4. Belgian Guido Dumarey and Yevgen Sokolovsky will take turns at the wheel of car number #176.

In addition, the team is fielding two Porsche Cayman “permit driving school cars.” Emil Heyerdahl and Ulf Schmidt will steer the #437, which will start in the V5 class. The two Belgians Guillaume Dumarey and Simon Balcaen take turns in the cockpit of the #471, which starts in the VT3 class.

Team boss Chris Esser ahead of the Nürburgring Endurance Series season opener: “We are about to enter our first GT3 event on the Nordschleife. We are highly motivated, but we are also realistic about the challenge. It will certainly be an exhausting apprenticeship year for us.”

The four-hour race will start at 12:00 on March 26. Before that, qualifying for the 67th ADAC Westfalenfahrt will take place from 08:30. On the YouTube channel of the Nürburgring Endurance Series, the complete race can be followed in a livestream from 08:15.

For spectators at the track, tickets for the grandstands at the Grand Prix circuit and the separately designated spectator seats in the Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten areas are available from 18 euros (parking ten euros). Tickets also include admission to the paddock, the pit lane, the starting grid and the ring°werk motorsport experience museum. 2G rules apply for spectators.
