With the penultimate round of the season, the Nürburgring Endurance Series is entering the hot phase of the season. After three class victories with the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, PROsport Racing goes into the race highly motivated.
Just two weeks after the 12h Nürburgring with its two six-hour races, the Nürburgring Endurance Series continues. At the 55th ADAC Barbarossapreis, the racing series returns to the classic four-hour race distance after three six-hour races were last completed. PROsport Racing from Wiesemscheid will bring a total of three cars to the start.
At the wheel of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be regular driver Maxime Dumarey and Marek Böckmann, who only celebrated his debut in the British GT3 car at the 12h Nürburgring. Over the course of the season, the team has already celebrated three class victories with the car in the SP9 Pro-Am class and aims to continue exactly there in the remaining two rounds of the season.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT4 will be driven by gentleman driver Guido Dumarey and ADAC GT4 Germany driver Célia Martin in the SP10 class. In addition, PROsport Racing will again field a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup after the car skipped the 12h Nürburgring. Simon Balcaen and Jörg Viebahn will contest the race in the Cup 2 class car.
“After we put our Aston Martin Vantage GT3 on the front row of the grid for the first time last time at the 12h Nürburgring and celebrated our third class win, we want to continue exactly there. Marek had a great debut in the car and put in a class performance straight away. We have made great progress with the Aston Martin over the last 18 months and developed it well,” said team boss Christoph Esser. “Possibly we will end the NLS season in two weeks with a bigger appearance, but this is not quite fixed yet.”
The 55th ADAC Barbarossapreis will traditionally start at 12:00 on Saturday, after qualifying has already started at 8:30. The race can be followed via official livestream.
