PROsport Racing gives outlook for remaining Nordschleife season

At the fourth NLS round of the season, PROsport Racing will launch its next attack on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In addition, the team from Wiemsemscheid will field a 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup for the first time. Christoph Esser gives an outlook on the team’s remaining season on the Nordschleife.

After the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, the Nürburgring Endurance Series returns to its daily routine. The 46th RCM DMV Grenzlandrennen will be the fourth round of the season on June 17. The race goes over the standard distance of four hours.

At the race, Christoph Esser’s team will celebrate a premiere: For the first time, PROsport Racing will bring a 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup to the starting line. The vehicle will be driven by Simon Balcaen and Jörg Viebahn. Originally, the vehicle was to be fielded from the start of the season, but delivery problems following a testing accident prevented this.

In addition to the Porsche, the racing team is fielding two Aston Martin cars. Maxime Dumarey and Chris Breuer are designated as regular drivers of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for the remaining races, while Guido Dumarey and Yevgen Sokolovskiy take their places at the wheel of the GT4 model.

“The driver line-ups on the two Aston Martin’s are planned to be the same for the complete remainder of the season. However, Yevgen and Chris Breuer will not be able to compete in the fourth NLS round due to scheduling conflicts, and we will nominate the replacement drivers at short notice. We also plan to enter the second GT3 and GT4 with Pro drivers at one of the last NLS rounds,” team boss Esser concludes.

PROsport Racing will also complete an important test on Friday before the race during the test and set-up runs. After the accident of the race transporter on the way back of the ADAC GT4 Germany in Oschersleben, all four cars had to be repaired. The cars will complete their roll out on the GP circuit of the Nürburgring before the top-class ADAC series event at Zandvoort.

Tickets for the fourth race of the Nürburgring Endurance Series are available for 20 euros (children up to 14 years free of charge) at vln.de/tickets and at the box offices. This gets you into the open grandstands at the Grand Prix circuit, the exclusive spectator areas Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten, as well as the paddock, the pit lane, the starting grid and the motorsport experience museum ring°werk.
