PROsport Racing gets into SimRacing

PROsport Racing expands its portfolio and founds PROsport SimRacing, a new team for virtual motorsports. Sascha Rubel leads the team.

The colors of PROsport Racing will also be visible in virtual motorsport in the future. With PROsport SimRacing, the champion team from the ADAC GT4 Germany is founding a new team for digital motorsport. Sascha Rubel will act as team manager. PROsport SimRacing will participate in selected championships and special events in iRacing, focusing on GT and endurance racing. For the future, an expansion to other simulators is not excluded.

The first major event for the team is already scheduled for the weekend of July 21-23, when PROsport SimRacing will compete in the virtual 24h Spa. The team will also compete in the virtual Petit Le Mans and the eight-hour race in Fuji.
In addition, PROsport SimRacing will participate in the ADAC DMSB German Simracing Championship, the ADAC Simracing Cup, the DNLS (the digital offshoot of the Nürburgring Endurance Series), the digital Creventic 24H Series and the GT3 World Tour.

At the start of PROsport SimRacing, 18 different drivers will represent the colors of the team from Wiesemscheid. With Leon Arndt, Leon Erger and Victor Brill, successful real racing drivers are also part of the line-up in the virtual racing scene.

The drivers of PROsport SimRacing could already achieve many successes in SimRacing in the last weeks and months. For example, Sascha Rubel was able to win the GT4 class of the ADAC Simracing Cup in April. Also at the virtual edition of the 12h Sebring the team members could be happy about a triumph in the LMDh class.

Team leader Sascha Rubel: “I would like to thank Christoph Esser and PROsport Racing for the trust they have placed in me to build PROsport SimRacing. With the 24-hour race of Spa-Francorchamps we already have an important race ahead of us! But after an intensive preparation, we are confident going into the race, where we will meet some of the best teams and drivers in virtual motorsport.”

PROsport Racing Team Principal Christoph Esser: “It is the next step for PROsport Racing to compete for top results in the virtual racing series as well. The level has become extremely high there in recent years. But I trust Sascha Rubel to put together an effective team. In recent years, some drivers from the virtual sport have also made the leap to the real race track, I am curious whether this will also be the case with PROsport SimRacing, in which case, of course, all doors would be open to the pilot with us, if the conditions are right.”
