PROsport Racing gets off to a flying start at the season opener of the Nürburgring Endurance Series and the GT4 European Series next weekend!
PROsport Racing has an extensive race weekend ahead of it. The racing team from Wiesemscheid will contest the two races of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series with four cars. At the same time, the racing team will enter two cars in the GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club.
The intensive preparation program for the 24-hour race for PROsport begins on the Nordschleife. Up to four cars (one GT3 and three GT4 Aston Martin) will be entered in the NLS season opener. The second GT3 and the BMW M4 GT4 will only start the season at a later date due to scheduling conflicts.
Marek Böckmann will alternate at the wheel of the GT3 with the two Belgians Maxime Dumarey and Simon Balcaen. As usual, the car with the starting number #17 will compete in the SP9 Pro-Am. The trio would like to continue last year’s run of success, which ended with Dumarey winning the class title.
Three Vantage GT4s will compete in the SP10. Célia Martin and Jasmin Preisig will form an all-female duo. PROsport Racing will also enter a permit vehicle in the class with car number #177. Steven Palette, who won the Silver Cup of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup in 2020, will be one of the drivers in the car. Palette made his debut for the team at the Dubai 24 Hours.
The two four-hour races will start at 12:00 noon on Saturday and Sunday. Qualifying traditionally starts at 8:30 am on both days. The two races of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series can also be followed on YouTube.
At the same time, the racing team will be competing in the GT4 European Series in Le Castellet. The team from Wiesemscheid will be entering two Aston Martin cars in the south of France. Hugo Sasse and Raphael Rennhofer as well as Hendrik Still and Fabio Rauer will share the two Vantage cars.
The two one-hour races in the south of France start at 16:40 on Saturday and 11:20 on Sunday. The two championship races can be streamed in English and German on the official YouTube channel of the racing series.
“We have a challenging weekend ahead of us. We will be on the road with a total of six cars in two racing series. Many thanks to my team for this strong performance,” says Team Principal Chris Esser. “We are delighted that the season is finally getting underway!”
