PROsport Racing’s home race at the ADAC GT4 Germany at the Nürburgring. The team also ensures some special historic moments.
The third race weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany takes place at the Nürburgring. This is the home race for PROsport Racing from Wiesemscheid, which is just a stone’s throw from the Nürburgring. Chris Esser’s racing team will field two Aston Martin Vantage GT4s.
Two-time ADAC GT4 Germany title holder Hugo Sasse and Roman Fellner-Feldegg will share a car, while the sister car will be driven by Marek Böckmann and Anton Abée. In a strong start to the season at Oschersleben, Sasse and Fellner-Feldegg secured two podium finishes. However, at the Norisring, the team had a weekend to forget and fell back in the championship. Therefore, the team is now motivated to bounce back.
“The Nürburgring obviously holds a special place for our team. Many guests, as well as friends and acquaintances, will be there,” says Chris Esser, looking forward to the weekend at their home track. “From a sporting perspective, we want to show that the weekend at the Norisring was a slip-up and build on our performance from Oschersleben. We recently tested at the Nürburgring and are very pleased with our speed.”
After two practice sessions on Friday, qualifying and a one-hour race will take place on Saturday and Sunday. The two races will start at 4:10 p.m. on Saturday and 3:15 p.m. on Sunday. Both races can be followed worldwide via live stream on YouTube. Sunday’s race will also be broadcast live on free TV on Sport 1. The pay-TV channel Sky Sport Mix will broadcast both races as recordings on Saturday and Sunday starting at 9:30 p.m.
In addition, PROsport Racing, with its ever-expanding historic department, will be competing at the Nürburgring for demo runs of historic DTM cars. Team principal Chris Esser will drive a Volvo 240 Turbo Gr. A, while former DTM driver and former European Truck Championship champion Markus Oestreich, who has worked for PROsport Racing for many years, will drive a BMW 635 Gr. A. Oestreich gained his first experience in touring car racing with the BMW 635 during his successful career.
“We were already overwhelmed by the fans’ response to our historic vehicles at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring! We are therefore delighted to have the opportunity to present them again at the DTM event at our home race at the Nürburgring,” concluded Chris Esser.
