PROsport Racing returns to the Sachsenring – the team has already celebrated five victories on the track.
The fourth race weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany will take place at the Sachsenring. The production-based GT championship will kick off the second half of the season at the roller-coaster track near Chemnitz. The team led by Chris Esser will compete with two Aston Martin Vantage GT4s.
Anton Abée and Marek Böckmann, as well as Hugo Sasse and Roman Fellner-Feldegg, will drive the two cars. Most recently at the Nürburgring, Abée and Böckmann achieved their first podium finish together in the ADAC GT4 Germany. Marek Böckmann also secured a dominant pole position for the second race.
The MotoGP circuit in eastern Germany has been firmly under the control of PROsport Racing in recent years. The Aston Martin racing team has won five races on the challenging Hohenstein-Ernstthal circuit since 2021. Two-time ADAC GT4 Germany champion Hugo Sasse has been involved in each victory.
Last weekend, PROsport Racing completed an important test at the Sachsenring. The test was important for Abée and Fellner-Feldegg, as the two drivers had never competed at the Sachsenring before and were able to gain their first experience on the roller-coaster track.
“We have very fond memories of the Sachsenring. With our victories in 2022 and 2023, we took important steps toward the championships,” said Chris Esser. “We’re heading east with confidence again this year. We’re expecting a lot, especially from Marek and Hugo, next weekend.”
