PROsport Racing plans top-class season finale

PROsport Racing is planning to compete in the season finale of the Nürburgring Endurance Series with an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 crewed entirely by professionals.

The 56th ADAC Barbarossa Prize, the season finale of the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series, will take place on November 16th. Due to the well-known circumstances surrounding the popular racing series, the race will take place unusually late. “We hope that the weather plays along this weekend and that the race can take place, because we have planned to say goodbye to this year’s season with a strong GT3 line-up,” said team owner Chris Esser.

PROsport Racing will compete with an Aston Martin Vantage in the SP9 Pro class. The vehicle will be driven by Nico Bastian, Marek Böckmann and the Nordschleife veteran Adam Christodoulou, who has a long friendship and collaboration with PROsport Racing.

The line-up is rounded off by the use of an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 in the SP8T class, which showed a good performance at the last race in October. Who will drive the vehicle alongside long-time PROsport Racing driver Guido Dumarey will be decided at short notice.

“We are delighted that we will be going into the season finale with an extremely strong line-up. Our goal is to compete for the top results. We want to show our full potential again before the winter break!” Esser concluded.

Bad luck prevents class victory in the Ultimate GT Endurance Cup

Last weekend, PROsport Racing entered a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the Ultimate GT Endurance Cup on the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet. Alex Hommerson, Simon Balcaen and Porsche Cup specialist Steven Palette drove the vehicle in the six-hour race.

In qualifying, the trio already drove to the best position in the Porsche Cup class. In the race, the three drivers also showed a courageous performance and good speed, but a puncture in the last hour of the race prevented a class victory. Ultimately, the Porsche of the team from Wiesemscheid was classified in third place in the class.
