PROsport Racing’s consistent promotion of young talent has achieved two further significant successes.
For many years, PROsport Racing has consistently promoted young talent, enabling many drivers to find their way into professional motorsport. The 2022 DTM champion Sheldon van der Linde and BMW works driver Max Hesse, for example, went through the school of the racing team from Wiesemscheid. Nicki Thiim, who won a class victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and two titles in the FIA WEC as an Aston Martin works driver, drove his first laps on the Nordschleife with PROsport Racing in the VLN.
PROsport Racing’s youth development program has now celebrated two more major successes: Mike David Ortmann, who was ADAC GT4 Germany champion in an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 with Hugo Sasse in 2022 and 2023, won the 2023 Aston Martin Racing Driver Academy. “The prize money will make it easier for Mike to make the leap to the ADAC GT Masters with an Aston Martin team like Walkenhorst Motorsport in 2024.Unfortunately, we as PROsport Racing no longer have any of this because the ADAC GT Masters is not on our agenda for 2024,” said Team Principal Chris Esser, commenting on Mike David Ortmann’s departure.
Frenchwoman Célia Martin competed in the ADAC GT4 Germany in an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 from PROsport Racing in 2023 and showed a strong improvement in performance over the course of the season in the highly competitive racing series.As a reward, Martin was included in the Iron Dames driver squad. The Iron Lynx team’s special promotion of women in motorsport has so far resulted in class victories in the FIA WEC and the 24 Hours of Spa, among others. Martin will compete in the Michelin Le Mans Cup this year with Swiss driver Karen Gaillard at the wheel of a Lamborghini Hurácan GT3 EVO2.

PROsport Racing is currently working on the 2024 racing program and will announce it in the coming weeks.At the end of February, PROsport Racing will hold a multi-day test in Portimão to find more talented drivers who will compete with PROsport Racing in various racing series.”We are trying to find the best possible line-up so that we can fight for race wins at the front of the field. If the young drivers are interested, we can also expand the project to other racing series such as the GT4 European Series and the GTC Race due to our large number of GT4 cars – we are open to everything!” concludes Esser.
