With 55 cars, the world’s largest GT4 grid will compete in the GT4 European Series at Spa-Francorchamps – PROsport Racing will field two cars.
The GT4 European Series will make history at Spa-Francorchamps. With 55 cars, the SRO racing series will have the largest GT4 starting field ever. In addition to the cars from the European Championship, GT4 Scandinavia will also be on the grid. PROsport Racing will bring two Aston Martin Vantage GT4 to the start.
As usual, Hugo Sasse and Mike David Ortmann as well as the two local heroes Nico Verdonck and Rodrigue Gillion will steer the two cars of the team from Wiesemscheid. While the car driven by the two Belgians will start in the Pro-Am class, the sister car will compete in the Silver Cup.
Prior to the race weekend on the Ardennes roller coaster, Ortmann and Sasse occupy fourth place in the Silver Cup after continuously reducing the gap to the front runners during the last two race weekends. Verdonck and Gillion are eleventh in the Pro-Am Cup.
After test drives were held on the legendary circuit in the Ardennes on Tuesday, two one-hour races will be held as part of the 24h Spa program. The two races will be recorded on Friday at 8:05 p.m. and Saturday at 10:10 a.m. and can be followed by interested fans on the race series’ YouTube channel.
