PROsport Racing travels to the Italian Adriatic coast: The second race weekend of the GT4 European Series takes place in Misano.
The second race weekend of the GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club is on the schedule for PROsport Racing. The racing team from Wiesemscheid will be traveling to the Italian Adriatic coast to Misano. Two one-hour races will take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, which is world-famous for the annual MotoGP races.
A total of 49 vehicles are on the entry list for the second event. As the track in the vacation region is only 4.226 kilometers long, there will be a modified qualifying format for the two races. In qualifying, not all cars will be on the track together as usual, but the Silver Cup – in which the two Aston Martin cars from PROsport Racing also compete – will have separate qualifying segments. In this way, the SRO wants to guarantee that every car has the chance of free laps in qualifying.
Hugo Sasse and Austrian Raphael Rennhofer drive the car with starting number #99. The two drivers won the second race at the season opener in Le Castellet, but retired from the opening race on the podium. The team’s second Vantage GT4 will be driven by Hendrik Still and Fabio Rauer, who also put in a strong performance in the south of France.
“We want to take the momentum from Le Castellet with us to Misano,” says team owner Chris Esser. “At the season opener in France, we were among the front runners in the GT4 European Series – we now want to cement this! We are confident that we will succeed and can therefore look forward to the rest of the season with confidence.”
The GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club will hold two one-hour races in Misano. The races will start at 16:35 on Saturday and 12:15 on Sunday. Prior to this, the two-part qualifying session for both races will take place on Saturday morning at 9:35 am. From qualifying onwards, all sessions can be followed on the official live stream of the racing series on YouTube, which also broadcasts the races and qualifying in German.
