PROsport Racing does not let difficult weather conditions hold it back

In typical Eifel weather, the second round of the season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series took place – PROsport Racing again showed a satisfactory performance.

Heavy rain, a drying track and conditions for slicks: The second round of the season of the Nürburgring Endurance Series offered difficult weather conditions for the participants. For PROsport Racing, these were the perfect conditions to prepare for all eventualities at the 24-hour race. The racing team from Wiesemscheid entered three Aston Martin cars in the NIMEX 47th DMV 4h race.

Maxime Dumarey from Belgium and Nordschleife veteran Christoph Breuer again put in a strong performance in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3. As at the season opener two weeks ago, the duo was the best-placed GT3 car in the final results that did not start in the Pro class. The SP9 Am duo also left all ProAm cars behind and celebrated their second class win in the Am category.

In the GT4 class, Chris Esser’s racing team brought a second car to the grid at short notice, driven by Guillaume Dumarey and reigning ADAC GT4 Germany champion Mike David Ortmann. The driver duo finished the race in third position but were classified second after a competitor was disqualified. Guido Dumarey and Yevgen Sokolovskiy finished the race in sixth position in the qualitatively and quantitatively strong SP10 class.

“All three PROsport Racing cars reached the checkered flag without any problems, which is the most important thing, especially in the difficult conditions,” said team boss Chris Esser. “With our GT3 result, I am realistic that especially with such a strong field of competitors, there was no more in it and we got the best possible out of it. In the GT4 class we are completely competitive and after the race we have a clear idea about our driver line-up for the 24-hour race. There, the clear goal is class victory in the GT4 class!”

The third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series season will take place in just two weeks.
