PROsport Racing has a double program ahead of it, as the racing team from Wiesemscheid will not only compete in the Nürburgring endurance series, but also in the ADAC GT4 Germany at Oschersleben.
The 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany season kicks off in Oschersleben as part of the DTM support program. A total of 21 cars have been entered for the season opener, including two Aston Martin Vantage GT4s from two-time champions PROsport Racing. After contesting just one race weekend in the series in 2024, Chris Esser’s team will line up at all six events in 2025.
The team’s two Vantage GT4s will be driven by exciting driver pairings. Anton Abée and Marek Böckmann will share a car, while two-time champion Hugo Sasse and Roman Fellner-Feldegg, a newcomer from the DMV BMW 318ti Cup, will compete in the sister car.
Local hero Sasse, who hails from Aschersleben, has set himself an optimistic target for the race weekend after the team’s test drives on the circuit in the Magdeburger Börde proved positive: “Oschersleben is a very demanding and technical track that does not forgive mistakes. The layout should suit our Aston Martin, as it has good handling in the corners. My goal is pole position, because I’ve never actually started from first place on the grid at Oschersleben. We are aiming for podium finishes in the races.”
The two one-hour races start at 15:10 on Saturday and Sunday. Qualifying will be held beforehand at 8:45 am on both race days. Both races and both qualifying sessions can be followed live and in full length in the official livestream on YouTube. Sunday’s race will also be broadcast live on Sport1 free-to-air TV from 15:00.
The team will also be competing in the ADAC Nürburgring endurance series at the same time, with the ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy hosting its second race of the season. The father-and-son team of Guido and Maxime Dumarey will drive an Aston Martin Vantage GT8R in the SP8T class. In the SP10 Am class, Jörg Viebahn, Michel Albers and Yannik Himmels will take their seats in the familiar GT4 Vantage and hope to repeat the positive result from the first race of the season!
The race start of the ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy will take place on Saturday at 12:00 noon. Prior to this, the drivers will determine their starting positions in qualifying at 8:30 am. On Friday, the teams and drivers will have extensive test drives at their disposal. Fans can follow the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series racing action around the Nordschlefe and in the official live stream of the racing series on YouTube.
