Three Mercedes-AMG cars and one Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be on the starting grid for PROsport Racing at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring from May 14th to 17th.
The most important weekend of the season is fast approaching. At the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring from May 14th to 17th, PROsport Racing will field the largest lineup in the team’s history. The Wiesemscheid-based team will enter three Mercedes-AMG cars and one Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in three classes—from SP10 Am up to SP9 Pro.
At the top of the lineup is the Mercedes-AMG GT3 sporting a full livery from suspension manufacturer BILSTEIN. In SP9 Pro, Mercedes-AMG Performance driver Mikaël Grenier, Mercedes-AMG Expert Driver Adam Christodoulou, GT World Challenge star Chris Lulham, and PROsport regular driver Marek Böckmann will share the cockpit. The car will sport a new special design for the race, which PROsport will unveil on its social media channels in the coming days.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will compete in the SP9 Am class. Guido Dumarey, Christian Konnerth, Markus Lönnroth, and Tobias Wahl will pilot the British GT3 car, a crowd favorite around the Nordschleife.
The lineup is completed by two Mercedes-AMG GT4s in the SP10 class. In the top car, #176, ADAC GT Masters winner Guilherme de Oliveira, Yannik Himmels, Lluc Ibanez, and veteran Jörg Viebahn will be aiming for the class victory in a strong SP10 field. The sister car, #175, will be shared by Gustav Bard, Jacques Derenne, Carsten Kautz, and Marcos Vazquez, an ambitious quartet of gentlemen drivers competing in the SP10 Am class.
The lineup is rounded out by two Mercedes-AMG GT4s in the SP10 Am class. “With the BILSTEIN-AMG, we are contesting our first GT3 race of this magnitude in our team’s history. We approach the race with respect for the challenge and a strong driver lineup. Tests, the 24-hour qualifiers, and intensive setup work have prepared us for this weekend—now it’s all about execution,” said team founder and CEO Chris Esser.
Managing Director Marc Hennerici added: “Four cars, four classes, each with a clear ambition. This breadth of cars builds on the foundation that Chris laid at PROsport over many years, long before I joined. The collaboration with him is so productive and constructive that we, together with our sponsors and customers, are able to elevate the program to this level—without them, none of it would be on the starting grid.”
This year’s ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring will see 161 cars compete on the nearly 25-kilometer combination of the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife. The participation of four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen provides an additional boost. Nitro will broadcast the entire race live on German free-to-air television, with the official YouTube livestream running simultaneously.
